    hello

I added some content to a Portfolio post via Elementor as I did for all the other portfolio posts, too. But now I get a critical error and cant figure out why and dont know how to solve this.

I tried to deactive some plugins like elementor, and flipbook (which is also content of the post that does not work anymore), but that didnt help.

It seems this post is making trouble: https://www.dorishartwich.de/project/kataloge-fs25/ – while the other posts work fine, like for example https://www.dorishartwich.de/project/katalog-hw-24-25/

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand that you are experiencing a critical error on your website after editing a Portfolio post using Elementor, and we appreciate the detailed information you have provided.

Based on your description, it appears that the issue may be related to the specific content or widget used within the problematic post (https://www.dorishartwich.de/project/kataloge-fs25/), especially since other portfolio posts are functioning correctly. Since you mentioned that the Flipbook plugin is part of the content and deactivating it did not resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a conflict or a corrupted element within that particular post.

To assist you further, we kindly ask you to perform the following steps:

    1. Enable WordPress Debug Mode:
Please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file to get more detailed error messages. This will help identify the exact cause of the issue.

    2. Check for Console or Server Errors:
If possible, please check your browser console and server error logs for any related messages when trying to access the problematic post.

    3. Try Rebuilding the Post:
As a temporary workaround, you may try duplicating a working portfolio post and then re-adding the content step by step. This can help isolate the element causing the issue.

    4. Provide Temporary FTP Access.
For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

Please let us know once you have enabled debug mode or if you are able to share any error messages that appear.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hello, benji610,

We kindly ask you to provide us with valid FTP access credentials, as the ones previously shared are no longer active.

To proceed, we require the following FTP details:

    – FTP Host
    – FTP Username
    – FTP Password
    – FTP Port
    – FTP Encryption Type

If you need any assistance in generating these credentials, please contact your hosting provider, who will be able to guide you through the process.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

I was abtle to fix it myself, found the corrupted post in database udner post. Still its strange to me, that the cpt Portfolio produced this error, since I did not place any other content than before.

I tried to create the post again and i saw, that the error was simply created with the following steps:
    duplicate post
edit post and delete post image
save –> message ” could not save” , error loading post

My topic was not solved, since the error returns every time i try to save when elementor is included as content in the porfolio post
