    Hi team,

I’m currently building my webpage with two subpages: Men’s Shoes and Women’s Shoes, and I’ve encountered a few challenges:

Q1. On the Men’s Shoes page, I want to update the Banner Image design (screenshot attached) to better suit the page. However, I noticed that this page is managed under the “Shop Page” option in the dashboard, and I’m unsure how to modify the banner image here.

Q2. On the Women’s Shoes page, I’d like to add the Product Catalogue design (currently used on the Men’s Shoes page) so that it displays products in the same way. However, I noticed that the Women’s Shoes page is under the “Elementor Options”, and I couldn’t find a way to integrate the Product Catalogue template into this page.

Q3.Should I switch the Men’s Shoes page to Elementor for easier customization? If yes, how can I change the settings to make this page editable in Elementor?

Thank you in advance for your assistance! Let me know if further clarification or screenshots are needed.

    Best
    Carina

    Hello, @carinachan2000,

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

1/ If you would like to change or remove the banner image on the Men’s Shoes page, please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to **XStore Builders** > **Product Archive Builder**
    2. Select **Edit Archive Template**
    3. Click on **Edit Section**
    4. Go to the **Style** tab
    5. Locate the **Background Image** option and modify or remove it as needed
    6. Save and update the changes

For your reference, please find the relevant images in the private content area.

2/ We would like to clarify the difference in functionality between the Men’s Shoes and Women’s Shoes pages.

The Men’s Shoes page is an archive/shop page and utilizes the Archive Products widget, which is specifically designed for archive pages. However, the Women’s Shoes page is not an archive page (such as a shop or category page), which is why the Archive Products widget cannot be used there.

As an alternative, we kindly recommend using one of the following widgets: Products Grid, Products List, or Products Carousel. These options should provide a suitable solution for displaying your products effectively.

We hope this information is helpful.

3/ The **Men’s Shoes** page is a shop (archive) page. To edit an archive page, we kindly recommend referring to our theme documentation, which provides detailed guidance:
    https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-products-archive-builder-with-elementor/

We hope this information is helpful.

Additionally, to ensure efficient support and avoid any inconvenience, we kindly ask that you create a new topic for each issue on our support forum. This will allow us to provide prompt and accurate assistance.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    **Best regards,**

    Hi Tony,

Thank you for your detailed response—it was very helpful, and I’ve successfully resolved Q1. However, I’d like to ask a few additional questions:

1/ I now understand that the Men’s Shoes page is an archive/shop page, while the Women’s Shoes page is a standard page created with Elementor. I’d like to unify their formats so that both pages use the design and format of the Men’s Shoes page. Is there a way to apply the Men’s Shoes page structure (archive format) to the Women’s Shoes page?

2/ Regarding editing, I’d like to know whether it’s better to keep the Men’s Shoes page as an archive page or convert it to an Elementor-based page like the Women’s Shoes page. Could you explain the key differences between editing archive pages and Elementor pages in terms of flexibility, ease of use, and functionality? This will help me decide which method is more manageable for my needs.

Thank you again for your assistance! Le

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate your detailed questions.

    1. To ensure both pages have a unified format using the archive structure of the Men’s Shoes page, you would need to set the Women’s Shoes page as a product category archive rather than a standard Elementor page. You can customize the archive layout using XStore Archive Builder.

Please go to Dashboard > Products > Categories > find Women’s shoes and click on view. The page takes settings from XStore Builders > Archive products builder. You can create a few templates with different conditions in case you need different settings for different categories.

    2. Keeping the Men’s Shoes page as an archive page or converting it to an Elementor-based page depends on your specific needs:
    – Archive Page (Current Men’s Shoes Page): This format is dynamically generated by WooCommerce and ensures automatic updates when new products are added. It is beneficial for maintaining consistency and requires less manual management.
    – Elementor Page (Current Women’s Shoes Page): This format provides greater flexibility in design and layout customization. However, it requires manual updates when adding new products, as it does not automatically pull products like an archive page. Woocommerce filters and widgets can’t work on custom pages, they work on product archive pages only.

If you prefer a more structured and automated approach, keeping the Men’s Shoes page as an archive page is recommended.

    Dear Team,

Thank you for your earlier response, which was very helpful. I have since explored the XStore templates and found several options (as shown in the attached screenshots). However, I would like to duplicate the exact structure and design of the “Men’s Shoes” page (archive format, as shown on the left side of the second screenshot) for the “Women’s Shoes” page.

How can I duplicate the design and structure of the “Men’s Shoes” archive page for the “Women’s Shoes” category and ensure that? Also, I want to ensure that when users click on the “Women’s Shoes” button in the menu, they are directed to this new template instead of the existing page. Please let me know what I should do.

    Thank you for your support!

    Best regards,
    Carina

    Dear team,

Thank you for your prompt and detailed response. Following your instructions, I was able to assign the correct display conditions for the Women’s Shoes template and link it to the menu. However, I’m still encountering an issue where new products tagged under “Women’s Shoes” are appearing on the Men’s Shoes page instead of the Women’s Shoes archive.

Could there be a conflict in settings or a plugin override causing this? I’d appreciate your guidance on resolving this issue.

    Thans,
    Carina

    Dear team,

I tried but I can only select one Shop page in the WooCommerce settings(attached pic). In my store, I want to differentiate between two main categories: Men’s Shoes and Women’s Shoes.

Could you please guide me on how to set up and distinguish these categories so that customers can easily browse the products under each category on separate pages?

    Hello Carina,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

In WooCommerce, the Shop page serves as the main product listing page, and only one page can be assigned as the default Shop page in the settings (go to Pages > create Shop page, then go to Woocommerce > Settings that select this page there instead of your current selection). However, you can achieve the desired setup by creating separate category pages for Men’s Shoes and Women’s Shoes.

To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. Create Category Pages:
    – Go to Products > Categories in your WordPress dashboard.
    – Ensure that you have categories for Men’s Shoes and Women’s Shoes created.

    2. Create Custom Pages for Each Category (content will be your custom there) or simply use default pages of created categories.

    3. Add These Pages to Your Menu:
    – Navigate to Appearance > Menus
    – Enable Product Categories for Menus – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/menu-set-up/how-to-enable-product-categories-for-menus/
    – Add the newly created pages or mentioned product categories to your website’s navigation menu for easy access.

We hope this helps! Please let us know if you need further assistance.
