    Hi there,

May I know how to hide the date, “posted by”, view counts etc on the top of blog post page?

I see that I can turn the “Show “byline”” off, however if I turn this off, the title of the blog also disapear, how can I keep the title?

I also see on the bottom of the blog there is a line of social sharing bottons, how can I edit/remove some of them?

    Hello, @kmc,

Thank you for choosing XStore as your WooCommerce WordPress theme.

1/ We would like to inform you that we have disabled the “Show byline” option located under XStore > Theme Options > Blog > Blog Layout. As a result, the titles of the blog posts are now displaying correctly.

For your reference, we have included a screenshot in the private content area of our correspondence.

Please clear your browser cache to see the changes on your end.

2/ We would like to inform you that you can enable or disable the share buttons by navigating to XStore > Theme Options > Blog > Single Post. For your reference, an image has been provided in the private content area.

Furthermore, you can customize these social sharing buttons by accessing XStore > Theme Options > Social Sharing.

We trust this information will be helpful to you. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    Hello, @kmc,

We hope this message finds you well. To display the title of the blog on individual blog pages, we recommend updating your website with the latest versions of the XStore theme (9.4.1) and the XStore core plugin (5.4.1). You can find the update details at the following link: [https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/](https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/).

Please follow the instructions below to configure the display settings for your blog titles:

    1. **For Individual Posts:** To show the title for each post, please edit each blog post using Elementor. Add the “Archive Title” widget and ensure to update the post after making this change.

    2. **For Global Settings on All Blog Posts:** To display the title on all blog posts globally, navigate to “XStore Builders” then “Single Post Builder.” Here, you can create a custom single post layout with Elementor according to your requirements.

Additionally, we have prepared a video tutorial to assist you further. We highly recommend watching it completely and following the steps demonstrated. You can access the video in the private content area.

We hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,

I have questions regarding blog category and post URL structure.

I want to make the blog category URL to display as
    http://www.xxx.com/blog/%5Bblog category]

    and post as
    http://www.xxx.com/blog/%5Bpostname%5D.html.

However if I set this, the post URL is 404.

    Can you advise?

    Hello @kmc,

We understand that you would like to configure your blog URLs so that the category appears as:

    http://www.xxx.com/blog/%5Bblog-category%5D
    and individual posts as:
    http://www.xxx.com/blog/%5Bpostname%5D.html

Unfortunately, WordPress does not natively support having both a custom base for categories and a custom structure for posts with an .html extension under the same base (/blog/) without causing conflicts, which may be the reason you’re encountering 404 errors.

To achieve this setup, you may consider the following:

    1. Permalink Settings:
    – Go to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard.
    – Set your post permalink structure to:
    /blog/%postname%.html
    – This will apply the desired structure to your posts.

    2. Category Base:
    – WordPress by default adds a category base (e.g., /category/) to category URLs.
    – To change this to /blog/, you can modify the “Category base” field in the Permalinks settings to “blog”.

However, please note that using the same base (/blog/) for both categories and posts can lead to conflicts, as WordPress may not be able to distinguish between a post and a category with the same slug.

    3. Recommended Solution:
To avoid conflicts and ensure proper functionality, we recommend using a slightly different structure, such as:
    – Categories: http://www.xxx.com/blog/category/%5Bcategory-name%5D
    – Posts: http://www.xxx.com/blog/%5Bpostname%5D.html

Alternatively, you may consider using a third-party plugin such as “Permalink Manager Pro” to gain more control over your URL structure.

We hope this helps clarify the issue. If you need further assistance, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
