    Hi,

Recently updated my site the latest version of XStore on my staging site with no problems.

I clone my staging site to live and I get the following syntax error..

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘>’ in /home/sites/10a/a/a5fefedbb3/public_html/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/app/models/customizer/theme-options/global/callbacks.php on line 42

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘>’ in /home/sites/10a/a/a5fefedbb3/public_html/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/app/models/customizer/theme-options/global/callbacks.php on line 42

This has been raised by my hosting provider who has advised this is not an issue their side and they have suggested to raise it as it is with the core plugin.

They have advised that this is only present on the live site not the staging.

Please can you investigate as I need to get this project to live ASAP!

    Staging site: staging.christmasstudio.co.uk/home

    I only updated this today

    Hello,

What version of the PHP do you use? It should be no lesser than 7.0.
If you use PHP 7.0 or greater but still have this issue provide us with WP Dashboard and FTP access to your site.

    Regards

    Hi,

This is running PHP 7.3 & as default my hosting provider for word press only allow 7.0 or above, therefore not an issue.

    My hosting provider has advised

“The reason I mention this is that the error relates to the core plugin of the website when disabling the plugin it completely breaks the website. When running CLI commands from our side. The error we’re seeing relates to that plugin. It’s being caused by the syntax error. Unfortunately, this would confirm an error with the code of the plugin as this was recently updated this would point to this.

When we complete a search and replace in the backend to replace the URLs form staging to live domain it failures due to the PHP error mentioned above so this would also confirm the why staging to live didn’t fully complete. ”

This is all I have to go on, the issue is not present on my staging site & only when it is copied to live.

“I’m not sure if the plugin is stored incorrect paths or URL/ If this wasn’t recently updated this may have an impact on this.

We can only see this syntax error.”

I have also unlocked those IP addresses & sorry this is all I have to go on right now.

    Hi,

It would firstly help when you provide a video to include the web address bar as good practice.

If you’re trying to log into the staging site then you will not be able too as the account is on the live site as that is where the issue is & I have just logged in with no issues with the account details previously provided.

Also apologies only one of the IP addresses had added to the unlock, I have added both therefore please try again

    Hello,

Sorry, but I did not include the bar first time because our clients ask to avoid sharing their URLs very often.
Here is the video with the bar https://gyazo.com/89960dd4a299ea3f1f7e5ac2f021fe9d
But I was able to log in to your Dashboard using Firefox browser. But still can’t connect to FTP.
Could you, also tell me your actions to get that error? Because I checked your logs and don’t see new log files with the mentioned error.

    Regards

    Hi Olga,

Nothing has changed with the FTP since the last support you helped with except the password and maybe your IP addresses but unlocked, therefore, there isn’t anything else I can do other than that I am afraid. I have given you the login details.

I have reset the password and logged into this myself.

I am waiting for my hosting provider to advise as I clearly advised at the start it was them that highlighted the issue as I noticed there were some issues in styling when copied my staging site to live.

Therefore I cannot easily answer this as I did not take the steps it was them who identified this
