  1- It’s an odd problem …

  a- when selecting a page from the vertical menu, it changes colour to indicated selected.
  b- When you reach that page the menu remains highlighted, as it should do
  c- When you scroll down the page, either with wheel or scroll bar, the selected menu item highlight disappears and it jumps to ‘home’ highlighted.

  This is not correct behaviour. The menu item for the page you are on should stay highlighted.

  Firefox, ie, chrome browsers.

  2- The map shortcode provides a google map, but the marker does not provide a popup balloon when clicked. Can this be made to provide a popup balloon when clicked
