How to edit the products categories sidebar

I have just enable the sidebar for the products categories page. problem is i cant find where i can edit what is displayed on the sidebar.
The thing is the sidebar that appears only has categories showing. i want other items to also show under that sidebar but i can’t seem to find where to do these

Hello,

Appearance > Widgets > Shop sidebar.

I have already tried editing through that but the changes do not reflect

Hello,

Problem was caused by the third-party plugin WooSidebars. If the plugin is disabled sidebar displays correct information.
