  Hi

  Something that I have just noticed after upgrading a site from v4.28.1 to 5.1.6.1.

  Initially, the existing portfolio page opens fine when viewing. After I edit the page, I initially see the Gutenberg editor, so I switch to WP bakery Page Builder mode, and the contents are no longer there. If I save the page and reload the view of the page, it’s now blank. Something is causing the contents of the Portfolio page to disappear when editing.

  Please help?

  Note – I have worked out that I can add the portfolio again by adding the 8Theme Portfolio element. But other items on that page like leader text used for SEO purposes would have been lost.

  However, after recreating the page by adding the 8Theme portfolio element, I see that the comments field is now showing, and it wasn’t before. I have ensured that “Allow Comments” in the discussion field on the page is not ticked, but the comments are showing anyway. Something very strange going on with the Portfolio page after the update.

  Hello,

  Go to Theme Options > Portfolio > make sure that you chose the Portfolio page there. We moved the choosing of the portfolio template fron the page settings to Theme Options and probably this is the reason of your problem.
