Hello

I have an update on my WordPress site which says the following:

Your theme (XStore Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.

I am apprehensive to update the theme because the last time I did this, various parts of my site crashed.
Please can you advise what I should do?

You can leave in private content admin and ftp access and our technician will check it

Hi there

Please, update our theme to the latest version, available on your Downloads or in auto update.
Do not forget to re-save theme options after the update and clear the cache.

You may check the video instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7wPeHEPb6E&t= for the update also and if any additional assistance needed let us know. If you are afraid, do the backup before starting the update to keep everything save.

Hi

I am reluctant to update the theme to the latest version as last time I did this certain parts of my website stopped working.

This is from a topic I started a few months ago:

Xstore Core plugin requires the following theme: Xstore v5.1 or higher.

Downgrade the plugin to version 1.0.23 to use it with the current theme version. 1.0.23 plugin version you can find this here

However I had issues a few weeks back where I had updated the theme and the Xstore core plugin was not compatible with the version of the theme I used – so someone on here downgraded my theme to version 5.0.3

I would really like to be able to manage my website myself – can you provide any information on how to easily use this theme and manage the updates?

I’ll add mt FTP details in the private content.

Hello,

We have updated theme and all the included plugins. Problem with your previous update was caused by major version. This update (5.1 to 5.1.6.1) is minor update and does not make any problem.
