Error message in decompressing zip file - by cavinter

When uploading the zip file to Appearance > Themes > Add New, I get the error message:

Request Entity Too Large
The requested resource
/wp-admin/update.php
does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.

A GoDaddy tech support rep changed the user.ini file to “256,” but the same message repeats. Then I upgraded the hosting account to Deluxe Managed WordPress for more space and deleted all unnecessary themes.

It still won’t upload.

What am I missing? File decompression gets to about 10% and then the error message appears.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. I am creating a new site from scratch in a GoDaddy staging area.

Hello,

What exactly did you change to 256? Did you try to upload latest theme version archive or full archive of the royal theme? Please check if you have some limits for LimitRequestBody parameter in apache (httpd.conf) https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html or in .htaccess file? Let me know.
Also, please provide wp-admin access in Private Content.

I worked with GoDaddy Tech Support to finally get Royal installed. He checked all files that could have caused a crash but didn’t find any issues in terms of limiting parameters.

However, using the site logs for error messages, he did discover a bit of “bad code” used in a Twitter connect that was causing the crash. Here’s the server error message:

06-Oct-2017 17:32:18 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class TwitterOAuth in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas03_data02/75/41380875/html/wp-content/themes/royal/framework/twitteroauth/twitteroauth.php on line 15

Once that was removed, the theme loaded could be activated.

Thought you needed to know because GoDaddy is one of the biggest hosting services and other purchasers of the Royal theme may have the same thing happen to them.

Thank you for your prompt attention to my issue. I really appreciate good customer service and look forward to customizing this theme.
