I was in a site that uses the Royal Theme. The theme needed to be updated so I did that. I also manually updates all the plugins. Now the site is completely down. It is just white now.

I just did a restore and the site is back up. I am going to let the client know because he had other programmers in the site and I think their changes have caused some issues that they need to fix.

The restore is not working. It will no longer let me in the back end. The front end is also saying I need to register the theme. I have the Item Purchase Code.

But I am not able to enter it in.

Okay there is effeminately some kind of conflict with the latest Royal theme update and the updated WooCommerce. The site and WooComm works just fine now unless I activate the Royal Theme (child). Can you please take a look I am pulling my hair out and have been working on this for hours and hours.

I have WooComm deactivated now because the site goes white blank screen if you activate it. However, if you activate it again and then activate Storefront theme everything works. Can you see why WooComm won’t work with the Royal theme?

    Thank you,
    Sylvia

    Hello,

    Sorry for the delay.
Make sure your server meets the requirements described in the documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade (“1.3 Requirements for Royal” section).
You need to use Woocommerce to 3.0.4 with our new theme version.
I would recommend you before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/woopress/ to avoid problems with old files.
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process! You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.
https://youtu.be/KdWESIIPU1k (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same)
Also update all required plugins. To update free plugins just click on update link from your Dashboard (Plugins > Installed Plugins).
To update premium plugins, connect to your server using FTP. Copy extracted plugins folders into wp-content/plugins/ . The latest versions of plugins you can find here.
Also, please provide link to your site.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.

    Hello,

Could you please specify to what theme version you were trying to upgrade? Yesterday we released new one to make it compatible with the latest woocommerce v3.0.4 https://themeforest.net/item/royal-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/8611976

    Regards,
    Jack Richardson.

I downloaded and installed the latest version yesterday and the entire site crashed. I might have downloaded it before you guys uploaded the new version? Was it later in the day?

I did also update all other plugins. I did backup before but even after the restore it would not work. I messed with it for hours, and I mean like 6 hours and then got it working again. I am afraid to upgrade anything especially your theme at this point. I will try again but definitely not on this site. They are getting ready to convert it to another platform not my choice so I don’t want to spend any more time on that one after yesterday. But I have many site that use your Royal theme so I will try it with another one. I know that you guys are on it so I am just going to assume it will work now. Wow that was an interesting Thursday for sure.

I will let you know when I update another site so please keep this ticket open because I wont get to it today. Appreciate the feedback.
