Fatal Error when installing required plugins

Hi,

I’ve noticed this problem has been answered a few times. Here’s the error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8589934648 bytes) in /home/brushnla/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 35

I’ve recreated the problem from a few fresh installs by first installing the theme, then attempting to install the required plugins. I was not able to isolate which plugin causes the problem,if it’s indeed a plugin.

According to this, over 8GB were attempted to be allocated? That doesn’t sound right.

My host provider has the memory size allowed set to 768MB. I’ve also increased the memory limit in wp-config.php to 512M.

Help? What’s going on?

Hello,

The problem is related to JetPack plugin.
I’ve deactivated it via FTP. Please log in to WP Dashboard now.

Hello,

I’m unable to login. I now see this error on the front page:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_get_last_changed() in … full error code is in private content.

And I see a 500 Internal Server Error at [root url]/wp-admin .

Should I start a fresh install and leave the JetPack plugin uninstalled/deactivated?

Update:

I did a clean install of WordPress, made sure that JetPack was not installed, and continued as usual. I’m now able to login into the WP Dashboard, but the same error code persists and prevents some parts of the Dashboard from loading.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2405181686192 bytes) in ….

I was able to navigate to WooCommerce’s System Status menu, and it shows the memory limit is at 768M.

Dashboard login details are in the private content.

Please help me find a fix – it’s urgent that my site is in working order ASAP.

Sorry for the excessive replies.

I contacted my host and they’ve lifted the memory limit to the maximum.

I see a 500 internal server error when trying to access the Admin Dashboard. Their error logs show this error:

[Sat Dec 31 14:38:08.727847 2016] [:warn] [pid 22874] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx] Timeout waiting for output from CGI script /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-admin/themes.php, referer: http://xxxx/wp-admin/themes.php?page=install-required-plugins&plugin_status=install

It appears that something is going wrong with the plugin installation script? When I disable any random required plugin via file manager, the 500 error goes away.
