Couldn't connect to host - by titou

    Hi again !

    You have just solve my last problem by installing my theme on FTP and on wp.
    But now when I try installing required plugins I have this message :
    An error occurred while installing Master Slider: Le téléchargement a échoué (download has failed). couldn’t connect to host.

    Do you have an idea ?

    And I is it normal if the homepage loading is very slow ?

    OK thank you !

    But I have the same problem with another plugin called Screets Chat.
    As you can see on screen shot, it’s the same.

    And why the home page (and other pages also) are so long to share ?
    I have to wait 2-3mn…

    Thank you for your help to solve this problem, because it’s hard for me to create my website easily if page’s loading is too long.

    Hello,

    Screets Chat plugin was uploaded to your site http://prntscr.com/bt4qmr , you just need to activate it in Extensions section.

    As for slow loading there is some problem on your server. Ping test showed 100% packet loss http://prntscr.com/bt4sg4 . You need ask your hosting provider support about it.

    Hello Eva,

    Thank you for the plugin install 🙂
    But how can I fixe the problem to not have to ask you your help each time I want to install a new plugin ?
    Why it can’t connect to host ?
    Must I have to modify a file as wp-config or other ?

    For the slow loading it’s weird.
    Before on the same website address, host and server ftp, I had another website powered by wordpress and loading was normal and fast.
    I don’t think it come from my hosting provider… but more from the theme.
    How ever I have send him an email if he can see what happen.
    I will let you know.
    But if you have more informations about this problem, it’s cool 🙂

    This is a new screenshot… if it can help/
    It seems to call a picture “12s1.jpg”… that doesn’t exist.
    Do you know which page(s) have this picture ?

    And there is a file “embed.js” who seems to have a problem but I don’t know how I can solve the problem.
    Picture in attached too.

    Hello,

    As I see you have low values for upload_max_filesize and post_max_size functions.
    Ask your hosting provider support to increase these values to 80M at least.

    Hello !

    I have deleted all the wp files, database and classico files on my ftp and phpmyadmin.
    Then I have install a new wp version (the last version).
    At this point, with the default wp template “twenty fifteen”, the website load correctly.

    But when I install classico theme and activate it… then homepage is very long to load.
    Around 4 minutes.
    Picture is in attahced.

    Do you have an idea, please ?

    I try to find solution…

    I have as my host on phone (who is friend also).
    He doesn’t know where the problem is…

    The choices I have, are :
    > You install again for me wp and theme (with good loading for homepage).
    > Or if possible to change for another theme (and hope that it will works better) ?

    Hello,

    Our theme uses more resources than default WordPress theme, so we asked you to increase values for upload_max_filesize and post_max_size functions. Have you done that? Please tell your hosting provider support to increase them.
    Then install WordPress and we’ll activate the theme for you.

    You can install theme.
    Is it possible to install also plugins (visual composer, essential grid, js composer, screet chat etc…) ?
    And put the FLORENCE THEME (or margaret if not possible with florence).

    It doesn’t work again.

    I have just change log image and logo image for fixed and responsaive header.
    Both pictures are less than 10Ko.

    Only those changes make the site so slow load ?

    I have delete the 2 pictures I put for both headers… but it change nothing… still slow loading…

    Is it possible to test with another template similar as classico to see if it’s better or not ?
    With the time I have lost and the unsolve problem I’m ok to change template if it works better.

    Just let me know…

    Are you using any Firewall on a server? Please ask your hosting provider support. Also check error log on the server if there are any notices.

    This is what my host say :
    No firewall on the server.
    Inbound firewall ‎in front of the server… fancy rules will not be allowed for a f***ing WP theme, and certainly not without further explanation.‎ ‎No outbound limitation.

    What can I do ?

    Hello,

    There is connection errors on your server.
    We got this error at gtmetrix site:
    “There may be a connectivity issue between your server and the GTmetrix test server. Please login to try testing from another test location or try again later.”

    Hi Eve,

    I have had my host on phone who tells me that it’s your theme who have problem… not his server.

    You don’t want to give me my money back…
    So I want to change template for another one (as the same price) right now.
    I’m sorry, but this website is for my society and I have lost a lot of money since I have purchase this theme.

    We have had a lot of messages to try to solve the problem, but nothing work.

    I have just one week left before going holidays.
    So I can’t lost my time everyday and money like this !!!
    I’m patient but I have limits.
    I hope you understand my problems.

    So I wait for your answer to help to fnid solutions.

    Do you use cache on the server?
    We’re trying to edit files, but changes aren’t taking effect.
    Please disable cache temporarily so we can investigate the problem and fix it.

    No news ?

    I don’t understand why you don’t answer me about changing theme by another one ?
    As your classico theme doesn’t work with me.
    It could be more easy for me and for you.

    This kind of behaviour is really weird… I’m not reassured at all.

    I have still lost 1 day and orders today… it began to be long.

    We’re sorry for a long delay.
    There was a problem with “get image size” function according to your server settings.
    Our developers fixed this issue. Clear browser cache and check your site.
