  How do I get the slider immediately behind the menu? Right now there
  is a bit of space?

  Hello,

  You need select the 2nd header type in Theme Options > Header and add slider in your home page in “Show revolution slider instead of breadcrumbs and page title” section in Page Layout box on the right site of the page editor.
