Cant edit pages with visual composer - by tamarica

hello,
something happened to the ability of editing the pages that i already created with the visual composer.

i dont know if its happened by it self or my client did something wrong
[for example front page and contact page cant be edited]

please can u help me fix this problem and let me know how it happen so i can confirm my client as well ,so he should know in the future what not to do?

Please provide site name where the problem persists and WP admin credentials in Private Content.

Hello,

There is incompatibility issue with WordPress 4.5 version and old VC plugin. Update the plugin to the latest version https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

i didnt upgraded WordPress to 4.5 version.
also when im checking the plugins page i dont see that vc need to be upgraded.

thats the name of vc right : WPBakery Visual Composer ?

Hello,

As I see you’re using WordPress 4.5 version http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/16/0421/h_1461241283_9100268_5d0977a117.png .
Also your plugin WPBakery Visual Composer is outdated (4.8.1 version), now there is 4.11.2 version http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431 .
So update it, download the archive on this page https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

hi,
i didnt upgraded the wordpress this is one of your services?
because if yes, i didnt ask for this. usually need to ask before upgrading.

also i uploaded as u told me the new version of composer but still when i open the edit page i dont see anything like i used to.

what should i do?

Hello,

We didn’t update WordPress and we never do without customer’s permission. Perhaps your client did it.
Please also update all required plugins and the theme.

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

ok.
about the composer after i uploaded the newest version still the editor page is empty. before there were 2 option to edit now the back end diapered.
thats the new version?

I also told you to update the theme and rest of required plugins.
Please do this and check VC editor after that.
