Child theme not possible - by MWnow - on WordPress WooCommerce support

Hello,

I would like to have a child theme, to edit some php-files, without changing the theme original files.

I uploaded your folder “woopress-child” on the ftp, but at WordPress Backend the Child Theme does not appear.

I have tried so solve it, with downloading woopress theme files (again) from themeforest), an reupload it on ftp (see folder “woopress”)
(my old theme is “woopress-16-02-2016” for back up).

Unfortunately that doesn´t work.
Can you maybe have a look at this problem? Or explain me, why the child theme does not appear at themes in BackEnd?

—> maybe it is beacuase some WooPress Templates are old?
I don´t now how to update this – WordPress told me to contact the theme author.

Hello,

It seems you’ve provided FTP credentials to another site. Please check it and provide us with FTP credentials for current site.

on the ftp please navigate to this file:

> loening-website-relaunch2016

there you will find the wordpress installation.

oh sorry Robert – I used an old FTP Login >> and tried to install child theme at an test-volume.

Now I uploaded child theme at the correct ftp.
And it work´s as it should.

Sorry very much for wasting your time!
But can you maybe explain me how to update the mentioned WooPress Templates?
I don´t now how to update this – WordPress told me to contact the theme author.

Hello,

You need to delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/woopress/ and reupload from a new theme package.
