    Hi,

After last update I experienced that according to pagespeed insights of Google the page speed dropped significantly. From 60 to only 39!!! on desktop (but also 60 was quite slow). The mobile score is only 33!!!!!!

This is a crucial problem from SEO point of view and also makes bad for adwords quality scores….

Do you plan something to increase the speed? I know it is a returning issue but it MUST be solved.

    Regards,

    Fedor

    Hi,

I will look after this as well. Although the pics are the same as before.

    Hi,

In the weekend I optimized about 70 images. As a result, the “to optimize images” get out of the “MUST DO” things in pagespeed insights test results.

But the improved speed on desktop is only 48-49 (the front page speed). It is too low! I cannot further optimize the images.

The pagespeed insights test results says, too: to enable compression (gzip) and to enable browser caching.
I installed WP Fastest cache plugin and enabled the gzip compression and also the browser caching. But the pagespeed insights test results still says that they are NOT enabled, no gzip and browser caching happen. The speed not improved.

How can I make gzip and browser caching with my page with Legenda theme. I need more speed for google.

Thank you for the feedback in advance.

    Regards,

    Fedor

    Hello,

You need contact your hosting provider and ask them to check if gzip compression is enabled.
If it’s not ask them to activate it.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

My provider says that gzip compression is not safe with https websites. Server compression is enabled (although Google maybe does not like it).

So anyhow, it seems like that for Google I cannot make my site faster than 48 on desktop now. It is bad since before it was already 60 and only the updates caused the speed decrease.

If you can you could run a test in pagespeed insights since there are some messages that related to the theme I think (css and others).

    Regards,
    Fedor

    Hello,

We’ve already had the discussion regarding theme slowness on our forum.
We’ve improved our theme as much as we could. And we have already emphasized if someone of our customers has experience in development and has proposals concerning changes in the theme (we mean only specific changes in the code in particular files, rather than general phrases like “Reduce CSS File” etc), we are asking to declare them here or contact us via the contact form https://www.8theme.com/contact-us/

Please take our apologies but we made all the best to improve theme loading.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
