FontAwesome toggles between versions 4.7 and 5.0

    Hi,

    My website encounters this weird bug. On most pages, the FontAwesome icons uses version 4.7 but on some pages it changes to version 5.

    You can tell the difference by looking at the “truck” icon; version 4.7 is facing left, while version 5 is facing right.

    And some icons doesn’t appear when it changes to version 5 (eg; fa-vcard-o, fa-envelope-o, fa-question-circle-o).

    Hello,

    Thanks for using our theme.
    Try to disable all the third-party plugins (including cache plugins), that do not come bundled with XStore https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/ , clear cache of browser, and check icons then.
    If the situation is independent of plugins, provide temporary wp-admin access, so we can take a closer look.

    Hi,

    It seems that the plugins which uses Font Awesome 5 are Elementor and YITH Wishlist, which are kinda mandatory for this theme — so I cannot deactivate them. Well, I guess I’m kinda stuck with version 5 then.

    Anyway, I set the option on “Elementor > Settings > Advanced > Load Font Awesome 4 Support” to YES, and it kinda work for all pages (which sets the icons to v5), EXCEPT for the Abous Us page (which still uses v4.7).

    I’ve created a temporary admin account for you to try and figure it out.

    Hello,

    Added the below code to child theme style.css

    .fa, .far, .fas {
    font-family: "Font Awesome 5 Free" !important;}
.fa, .fas {
    font-weight: 900 !important;
}

    Check now.
