Portfolio items "secon" category or tag sorting option

hi,

this is a bit tricky maybe, but let’s try.

on the portfolio page i have my category-buttons to filter the items/projects.

it would be absolute amazing to have the possibility to use tags here like for the shop/products. the reason is that we use the portfolio to show our services. the categories show the solution. if i had tags here also i could offer a my visitors to search and filter from a problem oriented point of view.

so at the moment i can show the solution. but with tags we could help people to find the solution when they just know what kind of problem they have without knowing the solution.

the perfect solution would be tags like we use it for products.

hi eva,

basicaly i want to use tags for the projects in the portfolio. so when somebody is viewing one project i want to show a “tag-cloud” in the project page like it is with the product-tags in the footer. so somebody can click on a project-tag to see all projects that are related to this tag.

as example i try to explain it with photography:
i use the categories for filtering: portrait, fashion, editorial, sport
i use the tags for selecting: technical details, client names, year of creation, etc.

it would be also nice to have if this is also searchable by the search form.

when you look at the screenshot you see that there are “project tags”.
i can’t find this in my portfolio-section?

it should be just like the products in the shop … there i can use categories and tags.

thats a pity … also it seams that the search-form ist just searching for products.

any idea how could present my portfolio in a different way to find a solution for my request?

is it possible to make a second shop where i can show my portfolio without pricing?

i must find a solution for that. maybe you can recommend a plugin for that?

this is very important for me … for the client.

is there a way you make this for us as a customization job? what would be the cost if it is possible? how long would it probably take to make it?

or is it to complicated to make it?

this is really important and i would love to find a solution.
must not be as portfolio. maybe a second shop-page without price and hoping-buttons?

i don’t know, maybe we can find something.
