My client bought your TheLeader WordPress theme and I am trying to customize it for him. But I am stuck at importing your sample data:
– the “Install Demo Data” blue button does nothing, just refreshes the page;
– the “Import/Export” > “Import Options” link does nothing (“javascript:void(0)” is its value).
How can I fix the problem? The versions of the software are:
– TheLeader 2.1;
– WooCommerce 2.6.1;
– WordPress 4.5.3.

It happens sometimes (for example, I was unable to reproduce the 502 error at once after your reply) but it’s not the problem. The problem occurs earlier as described above:
Tested in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera.

We’ve sent xml file with demo data to your email address. Please check it.
Try to import the file in wp-admin panel > Tools > Import > WordPress.
In this case you’ll get 502 error which should be fixed by your hosting provider support.

I had tried to import data from the received Dummy.xml file, and doing this with the “Download and import file attachments” checkbox I have really had the 502 error. But without this checkbox the import was successful, so now I have the needed demo data, thank you.
However, this does NOT fix the initial problem I have with your “Theme Options”:

Can you explain why YOUR OWN import of demo data does not work (not the WordPress’ native “Tools” > “Import” I have successfully used)? and how to fix it?

The problem may be related to your server configuration as 502 error is caused by server settings. Also you can ask your hosting provider support to check error logs to find what exactly is causing the problem.

Automatic demo data installation also depends on server configuration. So problems with its installation may be also caused by your server settings. Check error logs to get more information what exactly is causing the issue.

Plus, please include the updated version of Visual Composer in your theme update because now my WordPress’ dashboard offers to update Visual Composer 4.11.2 (installed by your theme) to the version 4.12, and this can’t be done via WordPress > “Plugins” > “Update”. https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=524337 says “In such case you need to wait on your WordPress theme author to update Visual Composer on their side and push it to you”. 😉

As for “monitoring theme update here”, it isn’t very much convenient to visit the page regularly to check if there’s an update of the theme< I’d prefer to get notified on the updated by e-mail, as soon as it comes out. However, thanks.
