We have previously attempted to explain to you that there is no single solution that will be suitable for all of our customers, so modifications were made to your child theme. Your changes will not be lost after the parent theme is updated.
This question with the h1 persists with this particular single post layout, so the most straightforward solution is to alter the layout via the Theme Options. This has been satisfactory for all of our customers thus far.
