Yes, you can add your custom Icon/image to the menu items as well, you have to upload it from Menu item settings: https://postimg.cc/4nYywH7P and then go to item element setting and choose the option: “Use image like” as “image” and it will work for you: https://postimg.cc/vxnQy95d
Regarding the latest version of font-awesom icons so we are currently working on the updates very soon this will be included and supported in the theme. Thanks for your corporation.
