Hello, @wpstein,
Could you please check it once by activating the default WordPress Theme like Twenty Twenty Two, just to make it sure that the issue is with our theme only or not? And please share the screenshot result with me here.
If the issue will persist with the default WordPress Theme as well, then it will make clear that the issue is not because of our theme.
And if the issue will not persist with the default WordPress Theme, then please take the complete backup of your site, and share your site WP Admin URL and Credentials with me in the private content area of this topic, like below-listed format, so that I will further look into it for you.
