Yeah, you should have to generate a new support ticket for every single new issue, to avoid any inconvenience and mess in the same topic, as if you generate a single topic for multiple issues then it will cause issues in understanding and explaining properly.
Regarding your issue: Try to deactivate and activate the theme using your purchase code and then IMPORTANT: go to Dashboard > Updates > click Check again link https://prnt.sc/yygl09
You may try to update the theme after that and you should not face any issues.
