Hello,
We made a lot of major changes in the theme after 4.x version. So, some styles will be changed after the update, header builder added etc. Please, make a total copy of the production site and don’t update theme or plugins there! and provide us with WP Dashboard and FTP access to your demo site. We’ll help you with the theme update there. You’ll check if everything is ok and only after that we’ll be able to update production.
