Unfortunately, if the product has a lot of attribute terms then it refresh the variations only after choosing all the terms and displays notification notice only once you chose all the options. It works the same even with the Storefront theme https://prnt.sc/1thanq9 WooCommerce does not remove from the select missing variations and does not add attribute disabled for them.
