Very likely you changed the body color in theme options and it has more priority than your custom css. We have added <p> tag to the list of classes that could be changed by this option.

Please, change your custom to

.p-weiss p {
    font-size: 1.14rem !important;
    font-weight: 300;
    line-height: 1.8;
    margin-bottom: 1.43em;
    color: white;
}
