2) In this case, I would recommend you to use custom footer.
a) Go to Visual Composer > Role manager and enable composer for the Static Blocks http://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/47-static-blocks
b) Go to Theme Options > General > Footer > Choose 1 column layout. Save.
c) Go to Static blocks > create Footer static block with the necessary layout.
d) Go to Appearance > Widgets > drag&drop 8theme – Static Block widget into Footer Column widget area.
