    Hello,

I recently purchased this WooCommerce extension (http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-additional-variation-images/), and it does not work with the IDStore theme.

I opened a ticked on WooCommerce, and the first thing they told me (before investigating further) was:

Usually it is the theme that is causing the issue by not following WooCommerce standards when modifying product images/thumbnails. When they add their own lightbox, they’re not considering other plugins that could potentially work with the images. You can attest this by switching to a core WordPress default theme and you’ll see this plugin works as designed.

I tested with the WordPress default theme (as suggested), and their plug-in works great.

At this point a I gave them the FTP details, and they will try to help me by making/changing the product images/thumbnails theme code so that to follow the WooCommerce standards.

However, all of these could have been avoided if the theme would have been followed the standards in the first place.

So, my question is: is there anything you could do on you theme regarding this (WooCommerce standards)? This question is also related to (https://www.8theme.com/topic/display-image-title-in-the-lightbox-pop-up/) which is another issue on the product images/thumbnails code.

Find below the FTP details of the website (development url) where the WooCommerce extension is installed.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello,

Sorry, but we don’t provide support for all 3rd-party plugins and we can’t test all plugins with the theme. If you have some compatibility problems you can ask Woocommerce support for hooks need to be imported in the theme and we’ll try to fix it.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

As I already mentioned, I opened a support ticket on WooCommerce, and I also posted above the first reply/conclusion I got from them. Don’t you have any comment on that? Are you actually saying that your theme follows the WooCommerce standards?

Please believe me, I really do not want start playing the “who’s to blame” game. I just want to get your theme flawlessly working with their plug-in.

So, is there anything you could help me with on that, or is it going to exclusively be on the WooCommerce’s staff?

    Thanks,
    Victor

I just got a reply from the WooCommerce plug-in developers regarding the hooks:

Yes our plugin has many hooks available for theme developers to make compatible. Once they take a look, they will know. Meanwhile I am also looking at this for you from my end.

    Eva,

I am eagerly waiting for the next update because as you see there are many functional issues we found with the theme.

Also, I would like to let you know there are many more CSS glitches we fixed by ourselves (not reported here).

So, my question is: when will the next update be launched (one week, two weeks, one month etc.)?

    Thanks,
    Victor

Also, I hope your developers are taking into consideration that the WooCommerce plug-in just got a new update (2.3.7).

    Hello,

Unfortunately we don’t have the exact date of a new release as the theme is being tested by our developers currently.
You can check our site for new updates.

    Sorry for inconveniences.

    Hi Eva,

I have just got the following message from the plug-in developer (he is currently trying to make the plug-in working with your theme):

I am getting this error with ID Store theme http://cld.wthms.co/11fFp Can you please pass this issue on to the theme developer so they know about it and can fix it?

Just show them the screenshot and they should know what to do. Once that is fixed, then I can continue on with this for you.

I really hope that I will not have to wait until the next theme update for the fix, so please ask the developers to look into this as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello,

I would really appreciate it if you could give me a reply here (hopefully along with the fix).

I also wanted to let you know that I specifically chose your theme because it is clearly mentioned: “WooCommerce Plugin Ready” (but it turned out it is not 100% ready due to the several issues I reported).

I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks,
    Victor
