    Hello!

    I’ve asked a SEO specialized company to give me some recommendations for the onpage SEO, and I got 4 advices:

    1. For product (sub)category pages (see here for example), the names of the products need to have a <h2> attribute instead of <h3>, on both views (grid / list);

    2. For product (sub)category pages (see here for example), the short description from the list view needs to have “<p class=”product-excerpt”>” instead of “<div class=”product-excerpt”>”;

    3. Any <h1> attribute for any URL needs to be <h1 itemprop=“name”> instead;

    4. The images, on both single product pages, and also on category pages, need to have the alt=“ “ attribute.

    Can you guide me on how to implement this? The first one seems the easiest one, for the other three please talk to a php specialist from your colleagues.

    I’ve paid ALOT of money for these advices (and others regarding how to best compose the content), so please take this ticket very seriously, as a lot of your clients can benefit from these once implemented.

    Also, these implementations are needed also for the Legenda theme, that is very similar to Legenda code-wise. Do you think I should copy / paste the ticket also in the Legenda forum?

    Thank you in advance 🙂

    Any news on this? Do you have an answer from the theme (php) programmers? Thanks 🙂

    Hello,

    If you want to implement mentioned items you need to make changes in template files.
    1), 2) You need to make changes in royal/woocommerce/content-product.php
    3) there are lot of files with H1, you should check and edit them:
    royal\404.php
    royal\archive.php
    royal\attachment.php
    royal\author.php
    royal\bbpress\feedback-no-access.php
    royal\blank.php
    royal\category.php
    royal\et-registration.php
    royal\framework\theme-functions.php
    royal\framework\theme-options.php
    royal\index.php
    royal\page.php
    royal\portfolio.php
    royal\search.php
    royal\single.php
    royal\single-etheme_portfolio.php
    royal\tag.php
    royal\woocommerce\global\breadcrumb.php
    4) It was fixed in version 1.5.2, update theme to latest version.

    All changes we recommend to do in child theme.

    Regards,
    Olga Barlow

    Thank for the feedback. Just rated both Legenda & Royal 5 stars for the amazing support.

    I hope you’ll review this ticket more carefully, and you’ll solve it in one of the theme later updates. Its content can be very useful for all your clients.

    In the meantime I’ll try to solve it myself, although I’m not an experienced php dev. 🙂
